Nothing generated by PawBrief — including urgency assessments, summaries, suggested questions, or any other content — constitutes veterinary advice, medical diagnosis, or professional consultation of any kind. All content is AI-generated based on the information you provide and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your pet's specific situation. PawBrief does not replace the judgment of a licensed veterinarian. Always consult a qualified veterinary professional for any health concerns about your pet. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately — do not rely on PawBrief to assess whether your pet requires urgent care.

How PawBrief Works

PawBrief offers a free preview — you enter information about your pet and receive an AI-generated urgency summary. To unlock the full report (vet questions, what to track, and what to bring), a CA$9.99/month subscription is required. The free preview is always available with no account needed. Subscription features are unlocked on your device via browser localStorage after payment.

What Information We Collect

When you use PawBrief, you enter information about your pet (name, species, breed, age, weight, symptoms, and notes). This information is transmitted to Anthropic's API solely to generate your report — it is not stored on our servers and we do not retain it after your session ends. If you subscribe, your email address and payment details are collected and processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We never see, access, or store your credit card or banking details.

What We Do Not Store

We do not store your pet's health information, generated reports, or symptom history on our servers. Reports exist only within your current browser session. We do not build health profiles of your pet and we cannot retrieve past reports on your behalf.

How We Use Your Information

Pet information is used solely to generate your vet visit report in real time. Your email address (collected by Stripe at checkout) is used only to manage your subscription and send payment receipts. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Subscriptions & Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly at CA$9.99. You may cancel at any time. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again after cancellation and no partial-month refunds are issued. All billing is processed by Stripe, Inc. To cancel, email hello@pawbriefs.com and we will action your request within 1 business day.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PawBrief and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on any content generated by PawBrief. This includes, without limitation, any harm to your pet resulting from decisions made based on PawBrief output. Your use of PawBrief is entirely at your own risk. PawBrief makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated content.

AI-Generated Content

Reports are generated by an artificial intelligence model and reflect a synthesis of the information you provide. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations. PawBrief does not review, verify, or endorse individual reports before they are displayed. The urgency levels and recommendations provided are suggestions only and should always be reviewed by a licensed veterinarian.

Browser Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to store your subscription status locally on your device. This allows us to remember that you are a subscriber without requiring a login. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you personally.

Third-Party Services

We use Anthropic, Inc. (AI report generation) and Stripe, Inc. (payment processing). Both operate under their own privacy policies and terms of service, which we encourage you to review at anthropic.com and stripe.com. We are not responsible for the data practices of these third parties.

Your Rights (PIPEDA)

As a Canadian business, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Because we do not store pet health data or reports, the personal information we hold is limited to your email address and subscription status as managed by Stripe. Governing Law

These terms and any disputes arising from your use of PawBrief are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects when it was last revised. Your continued use of PawBrief after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will not notify users of minor updates — please review periodically.
